How we started
- It all goes back to 1993 while handling the Johnnie Walker advertising account and being asked to take a group of Johnnie Walker clients to the Johnnie Walker Ryder Cup at the Belfry.
- Following the success of this tour, further tours were arranged to the Masters, The OPEN and more Ryder Cups
- After leaving the advertising industry in 1999 to found The Golf Travel Company, the company grew faster than imagined and new destinations for our clients to enjoy were added each year
Where we have been
- Since we started the company back in 1999 we have taken over 140 escorted golf groups around the world, with destinations from Ireland to Vietnam and just about everywhere in between.
Our philosophy
Our philosophy is very simple. Create and manage the very best golfing holidays possible for each destination, and package the holidays to the standards and levels we would package them if we were packaging our own holidays. And given the high percentage of repeat clients we believe we have achieved that.
We have now completed over 140 escorted golf groups internationally.
The highlights over the years

- Meeting Seve Ballesteros in the Johnnie Walker tent at the 1997 Ryder Cup at Valderama
- The success of a group of 104 golfer and non-golfers to Phuket with no-one noticing just how big the group was... the logistics and planning were perfect
- The look on clients' faces when enjoying the after-sundown Danube cruise in Budapest
- Every time we have a client tee off on The Old Course
- Photographing a young Rory McIroy while he was struggling with his putting on the practice green at Emirates GC, Dubai
