Holland

Golf in Tulip Season

28 - 27  April 2027

For 2027 we have moved our base to one of the most beautiful canal cities in Holland…LEIDEN.

The tour has again been structured to give everyone the flexibility they would like…. between golf, visiting Keukenhof and time spent exploring Amsterdam, Haarlem, the Hague and even Rotterdam.

We have made sure that Holland is the perfect destination for your 2027 golfing holiday.

Leiden is one of the Netherlands' most enchanting historic cities, offering all the charm of Amsterdam but with a far more relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Its picturesque network of canals, elegant 17th-century buildings, flower-filled bridges and lively café culture create the perfect setting for a golfing holiday. Compact enough to discover on foot, Leiden invites visitors to wander its cobbled streets, browse boutique shops. Midway between Amsterdam and the Hague, Leiden lies in the centre of a golf rich countryside and the spectacular fields of tulips.

WEDNESDAY 28 APRIL

We assemble at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and transfer by coach through the fields of annual tulips to our hotel in Leiden… the historic birthplace of Rembrandt and one of the most beautiful Dutch canal cities.

THURSDAY 29 APRIL

After breakfast we take the local train to the Centraal Station in Amsterdam for a full-day visit to the world’s most recognisable city.

Return train tickets are included in your tour package. And with Leiden just a short train ride from Amsterdam, further late afternoon or evening visits to Amsterdam after golf are always popular with the groups.

The list of optional attractions in Amsterdam is endless and includes:

A canal cruise The Rembrandt Museum

The van Gogh Museum  Anne Frank House

Dam Square, the centre of Amsterdam Damrak,

The floating Flower Market The canals of Amsterdam

The Heineken experience The famed departmental stores of Amsterdam

  FRIDAY 30 APRIL

This morning we head to KAGERZOOM GC, in the heart of the classic Dutch polder landscape. The course boasts cleverly contoured terrain, framed by fields of tulips and water features, creating a layout that is both visually stunning and strategically engaging, making course management essential.

An authentic Dutch golf experience.

SATURDAY 1 MAY

Nothing you have ever been told or have ever read quite prepares you for a visit to the Keukenhof Tulip Festival, understandably  the world’s most famous flower extravaganza.
From the endless fields of splashes of colour, to the tulip lined streams and lakes, to the “contemplate zone” where visitors sit in silence and take it all in, this is certainly a bucket-list day and a top-10 life experience. And that’s before you take out your camera!

While the golfers enjoy their golf at Liemeer Golf Club, our non-golfing guests will spend a delightful half-day discovering the elegant city of Haarlem, another of the Netherlands' hidden gems. Enjoy free time to wander through the picturesque streets, browse stylish boutiques and speciality shops, visit the magnificent Grote Markt and its impressive St. Bavo Church, or simply relax with a coffee or lunch at one of the many inviting cafés overlooking the bustling squares and canals.

SUNDAY 2 MAY
Golf today is at the Delfland, one of the Netherlands' most popular and welcoming golfing destinations. It boasts an outstanding 27-hole Championship Course all set within a beautiful landscape of lakes, waterways, gently undulating fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Designed to challenge golfers of every ability, the course combines excellent conditioning with a relaxed Dutch atmosphere. After relaxing in the club’s renowned friendly 19th hole, golfers join the non-golfers to experience the ambience of Delft for themselves.

After dropping the golfers at today’s course, non-golfers proceed to nearby Delft, criss-crossed by tranquil canals and lined with beautifully preserved gabled buildings, it is renowned as the home of the iconic

blue-and-white Delftware pottery that has become synonymous with Dutch heritage.  Whether you're interested in history, art, shopping or simply soaking up the ambience of one of Holland's most enchanting cities, Delft promises to be one of the highlights of your tour.

MONDAY 3 MAY

Today is a journey into the very heart of traditional Holland, where postcard-perfect villages, centuries-old traditions and spectacular landscapes combine to create an unforgettable experience. Leaving the city behind, we travel through the beautiful Dutch countryside to discover charming communities that have preserved their unique character for generations. From peaceful canals and historic wooden houses to working windmills, traditional farms and bustling fishing harbours, this excursion showcases the Netherlands at its most authentic and picturesque. And naturally, all our coach transfers will be on the lookout for the endless fields of tulips…

The first stop of our day is the idyllic village of Broek in Waterland, one of the country’s best-kept secrets.

Next, we visit Alida Hoeve, where the age-old crafts of Dutch cheese making and wooden clog production are brought to life. And then it is time to taste your favourite cheeses and purchase your favourites.   Late morning brings us to the vibrant fishing village of Volendam, famous for its colourful harbour, seafood restaurants and traditional Dutch costumes. After exploring the village, snacking at the stalls and lunch beside the harbour are always a pleasure. Our day outing concludes at the world-renowned Zaanse Schans living museum. Its magnificent collection of working windmills, historic workshops, shops and beautifully preserved green wooden houses take you back in time and experience the sights, sounds and traditions that have made Holland one of Europe’s most captivating destinations. Explore the exhibits and demonstrations, learn how a windmill actually works and browse the shops for Dutch memorabilia.

This promises to be one of the most memorable and photogenic days of your tour.

  TUESDAY 4 MAY
The organised golf on tour concludes with a memorable final round at Liemeer Golf Club, a beautifully presented championship course set amidst the peaceful Dutch countryside. Renowned for its immaculate conditioning, expansive fairways, strategically placed water hazards and fast, true greens, Liemeer provides a fitting finale to our golfing journey through the Netherlands.

As the last competitive round of the tour, this is the perfect opportunity to finish on a high, enjoy friendly rivalries and savour one final day of outstanding Dutch golf. After your round, relax in the welcoming clubhouse, share stories from the week's adventures and celebrate a wonderful golfing holiday with new friends, lasting memories and, perhaps, one final trophy to take home.

The non-golfers will have the chance today to revisit the places and experiences they enjoyed the most and feel are worthy of another visit. Leiden, Haarlem, Amsterdam and even Keukenhof are all close by and all are worthy of a second visit to explore their treasures and attractions.

  WEDNESDAY 5 MAY
