The golfing holiday you have been waiting for !! Sightseeing, relaxation, culture, history….. And GOLF! And as always, non-golfers are welcome to join and enjoy their dream holiday with special outings and sightseeing on the days the golfers are out on the course.

Day 1
On arrival in the ancient city of Luxor, we are transferred to our 5-star Nile Cruise boat. After freshening up, a briefing from our Egyptologist tour guide, refreshing drinks on the deck and lunch on board, we visit the spectacular and fascinating ruins of the close by Luxor and Karnak Temples, regarded as the 2nd most important historical site in Egypt. Then it is back to the cruise boat for sundowners on deck and our first dinner on board.
DAY 2 After breakfast we transfer to the fascinating Valley of the Kings, one of the world’s most concentrated historical sites. Our cruise boat sails from Luxor at lunchtime and the relaxed, laid-back feeling sets in. Lying on deck watching the desert and other river traffic pass by, enjoying the sumptuous buffet lunch and then tea and cake mid-afternoon. It becomes addictive. Later, sip on your sundowners as the sun drops below the horizon of the western desert before dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Day 3 Another day on the Nile…. Onboard entertainment, a swim in the ship’s pool, short strolls ashore during the sightseeing stops at Komombo and Edfu, another sumptuous buffet lunch or just relaxing on deck…it’s a perfect day! And then it’s sundowners and dinner… it really is addictive!
DAY 4 After breakfast we arrive in Aswan and visit the Aswan Dam and its sights. A short boat trip takes us to the spectacular Philae Temple, a World Heritage site located on an island in the centre of the Nile. Later, after our lunch on board, there is the chance to explore the small town of Aswan or simply lie back and enjoy the views of the Nile from your sunloungers. This evening we enjoy special entertainment on board, an “Egyptian-theme” party including a traditional dance show with live music. And everyone has the chance to dress up (costumes available on the boat) for a fun-filled party which is certain to last late into the night.
DAY 5 This morning we fly to Cairo and are then transferred by air-conditioned coach to our hotel, close to the pyramids. After lunch we explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos, considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the nearby Sphinx. Our Egyptologist guide will explain all the mysteries and wonders of this once-in-a-lifetime experience before treating us to a visit to the papyrus studio where we learn all about the ancient techniques of paper, colours and drawings.
Day 6 Our hotel for the next four nights is the prestigious DreamLand Hilton Resort., boasting the prestigious DreamLand Golf Club and its own nature reserve
Day 7 Today has been kept as a free day to allow everyone to spend it just as they want. Head into Cairo’s Old Town to soak in the history and culture of a centuries old civilization, before visiting the main bazaars….. sights and sounds to mesmerize your senses. Try lunch at the superb yet inexpensive Felfela Restaurant, made even more famous after Bill Clinton raved about the food. And then, back at the hotel there is an opportunity to play a few holes of golf or head to the practice area for a while, laze beside the pool, spend time in the Hotel Spa for some pampering or revisit the nearby Pyramids for another look. This evening we marvel at the unbelievable Pyramids Sound & Light Show
DAY 8 Golf today is at the visually stunning and challenging Greg Norman designed Allegria Golf Club. The design incorporates the local undulating landscape and boasts numerous spectacular water features and rock formations. Certainly a day to have a camera nearby. Non-golfers will have the option of accompanying our local guide to a number of souks and markets to hunt for the perfect bargain, or just chill beside the hotel pool and catch up on your reading. Mid-afternoon we transfer to the impressive Mall of Egypt, where there will be time to stroll through the centre, watch (or join) the huge indoor ski centre and enjoy a meal at one of the endless restaurants… local and international.
DAY 9 Today, golf is at the magnificent NEW GIZA GOLF CLUB, described by those who have played the course as a masterpiece of design and a golfing memory that will live forever. The non-golfers visit more sights with our local guide and have more shopping opportunities if they want, before returning to New Giza Golf Club for prize giving and the chance to freshen up. After prizegiving we transfer to Cairo airport for our flights back home.
Goodbye Egypt. We’re going to miss you.
