When the sun goes down in Pattaya…
…the party begins!
This is what you can look forward to when you arrive in Thailand…
Day 1
On arrival at Bangkok’s magnificent international airport, we are transferred by air-conditioned coach to our hotel in Pattaya. Situated at the northern end of this bustling seaside resort town, the Woodlands Resort Hotel will again be our base for the next eight nights on a bed and buffet breakfast basis. Guests have the choice of two room options to match their requirements….. Standard or Upgrade. The hotel has two swimming pools with sun tanning in a tropical garden atmosphere and even a “swim-up” bar.
After unpacking and freshening up it’s time to explore Pattaya, enjoy a meal at one of Pattaya’s ever-popular waterfront restaurants and then experience the unique night-time buzz of Thailand’s Number-1 golfing resort.
Day 2
The tour itinerary has been designed to allow everyone to enjoy their holiday the way they would like to enjoy it. For those who only want to play three rounds of golf, we have that arranged. For those who feel they can add one, two or three rounds to the schedule taking into account how the bodies feel, we arrange that on a daily basis.
Today is a day to settle in and unwind, to orientate everyone, to relax a little, explore Pattaya, play an optional round of golf, visit some of the markets, laze on the beach, have a Thai massage to prepare the muscles for the golf or simply relax beside the hotel pool.
And while the golfers are out on the course this week, the non-golfers are sure to be found experiencing the wonders of the country, shopping at markets where bargains are the word or visiting the nearby world-renowned jewellery factory for absolute bargains and which is just a five-minute free ride from our hotel.
Day 3
Our first official round of golf is at the spectacular PHOENIX COUNTRY CLUB, which originally opened in 1993 and underwent a major and dramatic upgrade in 2015 to bring it up to PGA standards. With 3 loops of nine, each with their own style, a round offers a great example of the local environment in different settings. No matter what your handicap, you will be kept on your toes whether you play on Mountain, Ocean or Lakes loops. We’re getting off to a great start!
Day 4
Today has been left open to enable everyone to spend it the way they would like to, choosing from the many attractions and outings offered in and around Pattaya. And for those who feel up to a round of golf, there are many close-by courses to choose from.
A full day outing to the highlights, malls and main bazaars of Bangkok will be arranged for those who want to experience this amazingly busy city.
Day 5
Shopping is always big in Pattaya and the late closing hours make it easy to shop for the golf shirts, IT equipment, cameras and other bargains in the many malls and arcades. And a stop at the mobile cocktail bars is a great way to catch your breath along the way.
Day 6
Today is a day at leisure to spend the way you want to enjoy it. An optional round of golf, a visit to the incredible wooden Sanctuary of Truth, a visit to Coral Island, where the warm crystal-clear waters are perfect for cooling down and for the adventurous there is parasailing, snorkelling and jet-skiing, or chill and enjoy a lazy lunch beside the ocean. Or even head downtown again and shop up a storm in the markets and bargain malls of Pattaya. Options are endless.
For those who decide on an optional round of golf, a good choice would be BANGPRA…a course which captivates all golfers who are privileged to play with its lush beauty and the wildlife which roams the course. Water plays a big role in the course design and the colours of the shrubs around the greens give it a unique appeal. Be sure to have the camera at hand when playing the Par3 12th hole…rated amongst the top 100 short holes in the world!
No visit to Pattaya is complete without attending the internationally acclaimed Tiffany Show, a transvestite spectacular that leaves the audience spell bound. Highly recommended and not to be missed.
Day 7
Today is golf never to be forgotten…. Khao Kheow Golf & Country Club, a Pete Dye design with numerous large lakes, bunkers and hills that surround the greens and fairways creates a truly tropical experience. Much of the course layout was the template for the renowned TPC Sawgrass in the USA... and take up the challenge of the replica of the famed island green of Sawgrass on the par-three 17th hole.
Day 8
Set among rolling hills near the Gulf of Thailand, BURAPHA GOLF CLUB is one of the most picturesque and famous golf courses in Pattaya. The course runs beside a hill and thus takes its many features from the large rocky outcrops, boulders, cactus, and other native fauna that feature in the local terrain. The greens are slightly elevated and vary from large to small – all with subtle undulations. Lying in the region’s rolling landscape, its design takes full advantage of the beauty of the land and is the home to the Pattaya Open on the Asian tour.
Remember that single use golf cars and caddies are part of the package for every course you play! The caddies are legendary and most of them are good golfers themselves, so you will be well looked after with their local knowledge to help you with your lines and getting acquainted with the local conditions.
Always a favourite for non-golfers is a visit to NONG NOOCH, a sprawling cultural display of architect prepared gardens, cultural shows and demonstrations of local crafts and skills
Day 8
Today is our last free day in Pattaya…. And with so many top-class golf courses around Pattaya, those wanting to spend the day on the golf course are spoiled for choice. But, no matter how you choose to spend it...on the golf course, at the beach, last-minute shopping, chilling with friends...we know you are going to enjoy it! And as the sun sets this evening it will be time to enjoy one last dinner beside the ocean and enjoy the friendly Thai service that goes with it.
If you decide on a last round of golf, a good choice will be a return visit to PHOENIX to put your local knowledge to the test.
Day 9
This morning has been left open to enable everyone to spend the last hours in Pattaya the way they want...playing an early optional round of golf, enjoying the sights and excursions, shopping or just relaxing beside the ocean or the hotel pool, it will be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be.
At noon we board our coach for the transfer to Bangkok Airport and our flights back home.
